knowngrounds (“we”, “us”) is operated by ycmak.net. This policy explains what we collect when you use knowngrounds.com and app.knowngrounds.com, why we collect it, and who else sees it.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. The only cookie we set is a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
Every run is either public or private, and you choose which before it starts. Public is the default and is discounted, because the public index is how people find out the service works.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on our servers. We store only your Stripe customer identifier, the amounts you have paid, and your resulting credit balance. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Running a check necessarily involves sending your submitted URL and the text of that page to third-party AI and retrieval providers. We use:
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers above except where required by law.
Runs, reports and billing records are kept for as long as your account exists, because your credit ledger and your reports depend on them. Server logs are kept about 30 days. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your runs and reports; we must retain payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@knowngrounds.com. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Credentials are held in a managed secret store, never in our source code. Database access is restricted by row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users promptly if we become aware of a breach involving their data.
knowngrounds is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and, for significant changes, email registered users. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised policy.
